How I Made Nearly $10k – Make Easy Money on Poshmark
It’s a new year and many of us are looking to make new money, especially in this economy. Something that has helped me along the way is the Poshmark app. Poshmark allows you to sell pretty much anything from your closet from shoes to handbags to clothing and jewelry. They’ve also added a kids and home option.
I’ve personally made nearly $10,000 since I started selling on the app in 2016. My average rating is 4.9 and I’ve had a great experience using it.
This is the perfect side hustle for mommies because we have such limited time. However, we do have small increments of time here and there to post a photo, write up a description and share it. Then, while we go about our business, we could be making money in our sleep! The best is waking up to sales!
Some of the key things I’ve learned throughout my experience with the app is to:
- Post as often as possible. The more you post, the more success you will have. Keep it consistent. Try to post at least a few items a day.
- Get good lighting. Good, bright lighting is key so that the buyer is able to clearly see the item.
- Know that appearance is everything. This goes hand in hand with having good lighting. Buyers will judge your item based on how it is presented. I’ve seen wrinkled clothing posted and that isn’t going to make anyone want to purchase your item. They want clean, well-taken care of items.
- Description is important. If possible, include details such as length/depth/width of bags. Measurements on clothing is also a bonus. You will get questions & this saves you time and energy from having to find the item at a later date and post the information.
- Use a Mannequin if possible. It helps tremendously in seeing the true form and fit of a top or coat. It also looks more professional. I got mine from Hobby Lobby and love it!
- Beautify your photos. Try to add flowers or some type of aesthetically pleasing display. I use a faux fur white rug and candles/flowers to make the photos look pretty.
- Be Honest. If there is a tear or tiny mark, make sure to zoom in and let the buyer know.
- Get Connected. Like, share and comment on other seller’s posts! It is a community.
The app is free and it’s super easy to get started! Start selling your closet and clearing out the clutter from your home today!
